Itaewon for a cuisine-led meal
Start with the cuisine and any dietary requirement, then pick the exact restaurant. Itaewon’s value is the range of choices; you do not need to move between Usadan-gil, Gyeongnidan-gil and Haebangchon to get a complete meal.

Hannam for a reservation and one nearby stop
Book the meal before adding a museum, exhibition or café. Work outward from the restaurant’s address rather than treating all of Hannam as one walkable venue. Slopes and building floors matter when a group includes a stroller or someone who finds stairs difficult.
Reserve time for reaching the restaurant, not just the duration of the preceding exhibition. If the restaurant has a fixed course, inspect what is included before planning a large dessert afterward.

Yongridan-gil or Yongsan Station before a train
Yongridan-gil refers to alleys around the Samgakji–Sinyongsan area. It suits a specific restaurant when you have time to find it and wait. Indoor dining around Yongsan Station is a different choice and is easier to keep tied to a train departure.
Use the time remaining before your train as the decision. With a generous spare window, a preselected alley restaurant may fit; with a tight window, stay near the station and choose a clearly available meal. Do not spend your boarding buffer waiting for a table.

Dinner followed by Subriot HBC: our actual evening
Sanghyeon and a companion had eaten before arriving at Subriot HBC in Haebangchon at 7:50 p.m. on August 14, 2026. PCY Group began at 8 p.m.; the program lasted about two hours including a roughly 20-minute break. They walked in without waiting on that occasion.
The performance cost ₩20,000 in cash for two, and drinks cost ₩40,000 by card: ₩60,000 total before dinner and transport, or ₩30,000 per person for that visit. Food choices felt limited, so treat the venue as the performance part of the evening. The full Field Note includes original photographs and the route.
The basement entrance had narrow stairs, and Sanghyeon returned by taxi. He observed fluent English assistance during that shift. These observations help with preparation but do not establish step-free access, future prices, future lineups or guaranteed English staffing.

On August 14, 2026, two visitors paid ₩20,000 cash for the performance and ₩40,000 by card for drinks. The ₩60,000 total excluded dinner and the taxi home. This shows why a music evening needs separate meal, cover and return budgets.
